Vienna Ball Season will be opened splendidly this year with Vienna Red Cross Ball. The theme is 80 Balls of the World – Vienna Meets Brazil. Nearly 300 artists will transform Vienna Town Hall (Rathaus) into a Brazilian Sambodrome. https://www.facebook.com/events/1050822135036958/
Fun for All: Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 5.30 pm is the official Opening Ceremony of Vienna Christmas Market at Rathausplatz (City Hall) and the illumination of the Christmas tree. Vienna Christmas Markets are open daily during the period 12 November 2016 – 24 December 2016, Sundays-Thursdays from 10 am to 9:30 pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am to 10 pm. Exception: on 24 December 2016, the market is open from 10 am to 7 pm. /www.christkindlmaerkte.at/wien.
Art lovers should not miss the ART & ANTIQUE Hofburg Vienna. It is an exhibition for art, antiques and design. This is the annual performance show of the Austrian art trade, collector’s parade with a stock of paintings, sculptures, furniture, graphics, handicrafts, jewelry, designer pieces, carpets and much more! It has a long, almost five decades of existence! This year the exhibit is taking place for the 48th time. Emperor Franz Joseph I (1830-1916), the former inhabitant of the Viennese Hofburg Palace, whose 100th anniversary is being remembered this year, would have been astonished at the many treasures in display in his residence.
20 YEARS OF PLACEBO! On November 13, 2016, Placebo’s concert will be taking place in the Wiener Stadthalle to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album “Placebo”.
