Baby, it’s cold outside! If you are in Vienna this week and wonder what to do, have visitors from out of town or just want to check what is out there… here are some highlights of the weekend events:
Fun for All: After the Official Opening Ceremony of Vienna Christmas market at Rathausplatz (City Hall) last Saturday, few other Christmas markets around the city open for visitors this weekend: Christmas Village on Maria-Theresien-Platz, between the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna and the Naturhistorisches Museum Vienna, The romantic Christmas Village in the Altes AKH, Art Advent on Karlsplatz, The Christmas Market on Stephansplatz . Vienna Christmas Markets are open daily during the period 18 November 2016 – 24 December 2016
Sundays-Thursdays from 10 am to 9:30 pm
Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am to 10 pm
Exception: on 24 December 2016, the market is open from 10 am to 7 pm.
Entrance is free
Vienna Beer Fest celebrates popular drinking culture for second year this November. The crowning conclusion of the event is the Craft Bier Fest this weekend. Creative brewers present their most exciting beers of the season at the Craft Bier Fest on 18 and 19 November. Over 70 participants, including brewers from Austria present their non-mainstream but exciting beer creations. My personal recommendation is to stop by at the Next Level Brewing stand where you can taste their promotional beer “Double Kraken – Sepia IPA”. Cheers!
