The very first “Art Vienna“ takes place from February 23–26, 2017!
During recent years, the Leopold Museum, centrally located in the midst of Vienna’s large cultural quarter “Museumsquartier” and ideally suited for temporary events, has established itself as a unique venue for fairs. This February, after 10 successful years of the established ART AUSTRIA, Vienna art lovers will be presented with a new meeting point- ART VIENNA, hosted for the first time at the Leopold museum.
In terms of content, Art Vienna focuses on Austrian and international art of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, with particular emphasis on classical modernism and contemporary art. Art Vienna also offers space for approximately 40 exhibitors on two floor levels, bringing together the best and most renowned Austrian gallery owners and dealers, alongside selected international exhibitors. The curators hope that Art Vienna will quickly establish itself as the central Viennese art fair event at the beginning of the year, offering a fresh, intriguing fair project as a counterbalance to the art scene’s already rather overextended autumn season.
