ON STAGE: Summer Night Concert in Schönbrunn palace is something you don’t want to miss if you have a chance to visit Vienna this season. It is a gift from the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra to all Viennese and visitors to our city with free admission! This open-air concert is a special musical experience in the impressive setting of Schönbrunn Palace and its beautiful baroque gardens, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. The event this year will be on Thursday, May 25 at 8.30 pm (should the weather conditions prevent – on May 26). FESTIVAL: Donaukanaltreiben Vienna will take place for the 11th time in 2017. From 25 to 28 May it will present a varied cultural program from the Spittelau to the Franzensbrücke with live concerts, DJ sets, fashion shows, dance workshops, as well as culinary delights and a relaxing holiday feeling.

ART: New exhibition located in the Lower Belvedere gives insight into the life and work of Lawrence Alma-Tadema, and invites one and all to dive into the decadent world of English aestheticism. His compositions shaped the way people imagined life during antiquity and inspired the costume designs and set concepts for epic historical film productions such as Quo Vadis? by Enrico Guazzoni (1913) and Ridley Scott’s Gladiator (2000).
