The Viennale is Austria’s most important international film event. It takes place every October in beautiful cinemas in Vienna’s historic center, providing the festival with an international orientation and a distinctive urban flair.

The ensemble “Flamenco Chekara” is a fusion of musicians from the traditional “Orquesta Chekara” from Morocco and some of the most esteemed artists of Andalusian flamenco in Spain. More than 50 years ago, the violin master Abdessadak Chekara founded the orchestra in Tetouan, not far from the Mediterranean coast of Morocco. Jallal Chekara has managed to continue the traditional repertoire and deep relationship of the orchestra to flamenco and enrich it with new influences. The concert is made possible with the kind support of the Moroccan Embassy and the Spanish Embassy.
