One of the most awaited Venetian winter event took place between January 27 until Feb. 13. The program stared as usual with a water parade of traditional boats. The real heart of the Carnival, however, is Saint Mark’s Square. Each year, the square becomes a stage where Venice show her skills in gondolas and oars’ construction, masks and customs’ production. The carnival celebrates the splendor of the city and the desire to appear.
